Ten selected news items each day and one audio item from Montemagno each week. This is how The Update is presented on the author’s website, on a page dated 8 February 2019 and archived in August that year.
The offer centres on selection and regular updates. The page invites subscriptions, but remains a commercial presentation: it is not a newsletter received by subscribers and does not establish how consistently issues were sent.
2021: a service for 4books subscribers
In a press release issued by 4books and P101 on 10 June 2021, The Update appears among the services for 4books subscribers. It is described through selected digital and business news condensed into short text or audio items.
The document shows that the connection was already being stated in 2021. It does not, however, reconstruct the organisational transition from the 2019 offer or establish an acquisition or ownership transfer. The description of the service needs to remain distinct from the companies’ legal history.
