Blogosfere: the 2007 deal

Blogosfere was founded in October 2005 by Marco Montemagno and Marco Masieri. The Il Sole 24 ORE Group’s release of 25 June 2007 describes a network of more than 150 blogs and over one million unique users, naming Montemagno as CEO. The group acquired a 30% stake through a capital increase.

The phrase “acquired by Il Sole 24 Ore” in the official biography compresses a more complex history. The 2007 transaction alone does not establish a 100% acquisition or a personal payout to the founder. The 24 ORE Group’s September 2010 report, added during editorial checking, documents the sale in January 2010 of a stake that had risen to 80%, for €1.6 million. These are the group’s sale proceeds, not a personal payment to Montemagno. The complete intermediate history remains to be reconstructed.

Social Media Week, Startup School and Codice Internet

From 2010 he promoted Social Media Week in Italy and subsequently Startup School, presented in biographies as an early Italian initiative teaching people to build startups. These are events and educational programmes; visibility does not automatically establish revenue, funding or a separate company still operating.

Codice Internet occupies a different place in his story. In Corriere he recalled around 35 days in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele explaining the internet to the public, with disappointing attendance. He considers it one of his worst flops and draws a lesson about building a community first. This is a retrospective assessment, not a financial audit.

Augmendy and Reboot Italy

In May 2012 Il Fatto Quotidiano described Augmendy as being in liquidation and Reboot Italy as a project connecting innovation, the internet and politics. It reported Montemagno’s involvement in the PDL’s digital strategy after local elections. This is contemporary critical reporting; the available material lacks a contract, fees, a precise scope of work and sufficient data on losses or debts.

SuperSummit and the British chapter

SuperSummit was presented in 2013 as an online events and education platform featuring experts in social media, SEO and web marketing. EconomyUp described a freemium model, with free sections and paid replays or complete packages. The project reflected an ambition to reach an international market after the move.

Skill Summit Ltd was incorporated on 23 January 2013 and dissolved on 9 September 2014. The research references a compulsory strike-off, a first notice on 20 May 2014 and initial nominal capital of £2. The fate of a legal entity is distinct from that of a brand or individual events; the cited documents do not reconstruct SuperSummit’s complete financial outcome.

4books: from an idea to outside investment

4books was founded in December 2017 by Montemagno and Paolo Barberis within the Nana Bianca ecosystem. It offers short book summaries and analyses to read or listen to, covering business, technology, psychology and personal development. The website identifies the company as 4books S.r.l.; it is more than a personal media series.

The release of 10 June 2021 documents a €2.4 million round led by P101. In June 2022 the press reported more than one million registrations and Filippo Satolli’s appointment as CEO. Funding is not revenue, registrations do not necessarily mean paying subscribers, and a 2022 appointment does not establish today’s management structure.

Slashers, The Update, Competenze and StartupItalia

The 2020 profile mentions Slashers, a community started in 2017, The Update and 4books. The research records Slashers meetings at least through 2019 but does not reconstruct its funding or current independent operational status. The Update appears as an editorial initiative, without enough documentation on its corporate development.

Competenze, emerging between 2020 and 2021, is an education platform with experts and mentors. The publisher biography for Tutto Montemagno lists it among his creations; discounts advertised by MontyLab in 2022 show its integration into the ecosystem. Sources describe involvement with StartupItalia but are insufficient to call him its founder or controlling shareholder.

NFTs, AI education and new media

In 2022 MontyLab/Crazy Fury sought to connect digital collectibles, community access and experiences with the founder. From 2025 AI First focused on free artificial intelligence education. In 2026 SpiegameloFacile was described as a media service for freelancers and small business owners built with AI agents. Results, controversies and metric limitations are examined in the following chapters.
